San Felipe Del Rio CISD, May 18, 2023 — San Felipe Del Rio CISD's Career and Technical
Education (CTE) Computer Science Cybersecurity Program is delighted to announce that all 20
of its third-year students have successfully completed the Palo Alto Networks Network Security
Fundamentals Program. This program marks the second of four courses leading to the
distinguished Cybersecurity Professional Certificate.
The Palo Alto Networks Network Security Fundamentals Program provides a robust foundation
in core cybersecurity competencies. With their successful completion, the students have
demonstrated the ability to understand and explain key aspects of enterprise network security,
including operations, devices, protocols, and security technologies.
SFDRCISD and CTE are incredibly proud of the commitment and determination shown by our
students in the pursuit of excellence. This achievement signals not just the culmination of their
hard work but also marks a significant step in their journey towards becoming professionals in
the cybersecurity field.
The SFDRCISD CTE Computer Science Cybersecurity program continues to foster a culture of
innovation and advanced learning, equipping students with the skills they need to become the
next generation of cybersecurity professionals. The Program is led by John Reed, CTE
Computer Science/ Cybersecurity instructor.

Education (CTE) Computer Science Cybersecurity Program se complace en anunciar que los 20
de sus estudiantes de tercer año han completado con éxito el programa de seguridad de red de Palo Alto Networks
Programa de Fundamentos. Este programa marca el segundo de cuatro cursos que conducen a la
Distinguido Certificado Profesional de Ciberseguridad.
El programa de fundamentos de seguridad de red de Palo Alto Networks proporciona una base sólida
en competencias básicas de ciberseguridad. Con su finalización exitosa, los estudiantes tienen
demostrado la capacidad de comprender y explicar los aspectos clave de la seguridad de la red empresarial,
incluyendo operaciones, dispositivos, protocolos y tecnologías de seguridad.
