Laredo Field Office Set to Temporarily Close the Amistad Dam Port of Entry in Del Rio Due To Annual Fiesta De Amistad Abrazo Event

DEL RIO, TEXAS — U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Office of Field Operations (OFO) Laredo Field Office will temporarily close the Amistad Dam International Bridge.
On Friday, October 21, 2022, the Amistad Dam Port of Entry, located on Texas Spur 349 in Del Rio, Texas, will be temporarily closed and cease all normal operations from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. This most recent closure is due to the traditional Annual Fiesta De Amistad Abrazo Event that will be held at the Amistad Dam.
The Amistad Dam Port of Entry will resume all normal operations, and normal operating hours of 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., on Saturday, October 22, 2022.
Hours at the Del Rio Port of Entry as well as cargo operations remain unaffected.
CBP would like to remind the traveling public the importance of obtaining and utilizing their equipped radio frequency identification documents (RFID) such as U.S. passport cards and newer versions (i.e. since 2011) of the border crossing card and resident alien card, to utilize the Ready Lanes and for travelers to have their entry documents ready as they approach the booth to facilitate their processing. DEL RIO, TEXAS — La Oficina de Campo de Laredo de la Oficina de Operaciones de Campo (OFO) de la Oficina de Aduanas y Protección Fronteriza (CBP) de EE. UU. cerrará temporalmente el Puente Internacional de la Presa Amistad.
El viernes 21 de octubre de 2022, el puerto de entrada de la presa Amistad, ubicado en Texas Spur 349 en Del Rio, Texas, se cerrará temporalmente y cesará todas las operaciones normales a partir de las 12:00 p.m. a las 6:00 p. m. Este cierre más reciente se debe al tradicional Evento Anual Fiesta De Amistad Abrazo que se llevará a cabo en la Presa Amistad.
El Puerto de Entrada de la Presa Amistad reanudará todas las operaciones normales y el horario normal de funcionamiento de 10:00 a. m. a 6:00 p. m., el sábado 22 de octubre de 2022.
Las horas en el puerto de entrada de Del Rio, así como las operaciones de carga, no se verán afectadas.
CBP desea recordar al público viajero la importancia de obtener y utilizar sus documentos de identificación por radiofrecuencia (RFID) equipados, como tarjetas de pasaporte de EE. UU. y versiones más nuevas (es decir, desde 2011) de la tarjeta de cruce fronterizo y la tarjeta de extranjero residente, para utilizar Ready Los carriles y para que los viajeros tengan sus documentos de entrada listos cuando se acercan a la cabina para facilitar su trámite.
